A little mind yoga
November 1, 2011 at 12:00 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 4 CommentsGreetings MPLA Members,
How about a little mind yoga to warm up your synapses.
We’ve had tablets, scrolls, books, and the kindle. What is next?
We have all seen the video of the two-year old navigating an ipad like a pro but totally lost when given a magazine. If you haven’t seen it click here: http://youtu.be/aXV-yaFmQNk
How is that child going to access information when she is twenty?

Ok, I will answer first…
It may be the sci fi geek in me but I predict information will first project into wireless headsets then enevtually, directly into our heads. Librarians will be able to help people search very easily because they will be able to link to the person’s thoughts. The next great frontier will be silence and solitude.

What will preschools look like in 2020…
Comment by DB— November 1, 2011 #
Preschools will be more interactive and housed with parents’ workplaces. Children will learn by doing, inside and outdoors. There won’t be such a drastic disconnect between education and application, learning and life.
